Oh to be blessed with just a single, easily identifiable style of image-making! Such is not the case with my portfolio.

In the chart below, I have divided my images into five categories. This should make finding the kind of images you are interested in a bit easier. Of course, some images fall somewhere between one of the rigid classifications. Keeping this in mind, you might want to explore all the categories, hoping to find that unexpected gem that tickles your eye.

All of my platinum prints are processed to the highest archival standards using the finest acid-free papers and the best chemistry available. Small amounts of gold are added to the hand-coated sensitizer to fine-tune the image color. Hot developer further modifies the warmth and contrast of the final print. I print all of my own work; no underpaid lackey is involved in the process.

For the Pigment Over Platinum work, only the latest and most stable (and most expensive) pigmented inks are used to ensure fade resistance and beauty. It would make no sense to slave over a hand-made platinum only to corrupt it with inferior pigments.

Clicking on one of the small pictures below will take you to that category’s gallery.

Pigment Over Platinum Prints

This is my most current work in which I combine the hand-coated platinum/palladium print with digitally applied, archival color pigments. The way the image colors blend from the deep brown/black warmth of the platinum to the suble color is stunning. Look for more images soon!

A more interpretive body of images, you will find some of my best work here. These sometimes stylized, sometimes lucky-just-to-be-there images speak to why I was attracted to photography in the first place.

Figure Work

Without a doubt, the most difficult of subject matter. Gosh I trust I’ve avoided most of the naked clichés that so pollute this genre of photography? But of course, this was the first image you saw on the page, wasn’t it?

I don’t expect many people to “enjoy” these images. I include them because they are important to me. If you carry a camera with you at all times, life will offer up situations like this.
Your feedback is always welcomed.

Landscapes

I’ve always said that one could do worse than create exquisite, sensitive landscapes. These are my attempts to do just that. The least confrontational of all my work, they are also the best selling.
