Photo Workshop In Havana and Vinales
Experience a visual paradise while doing your part to preserve our international connection with the people of Cuba. Whether in the heart of historic Havana or beyond the country roads of Vinales, discover authentic adventures beyond the usual tourist itineraries.

From the streets and shoreline of Havana to the rural community of Vinales, every day and evening will be filled with glowing photographic opportunities. And when the sun goes down, we explore the hidden intrigue and magnificence of C at night. Any digital camera is welcome — from DSLR to Mirrorless to iPhone — as long as you have a way to get your images onto an iPhone or iPad for viewing and editing.
 
We’ll enjoy a lightweight, modern approach to our image making with photo critiques and classes all based on iPhones and iPads. That’s right, you can leave your laptops at home because it’s better spending your time making photos and memories. You’ll discover the joy of editing on your iPhone during lunch or on your iPad in the middle of the night. You’ll be amazed at what you learn from Dan (author of iPhone Artistry and Making Digital Negatives) as you shoot and process the modern, compact and lightweight way — a dream for the travel photographer!

The workshop includes 8 days/8 nights in Cuba. Beginning in Havana, you'll be picked up at the airport and stay in Old Historic Havana for three nights. After time in H, we're traveling by private, air-conditioned bus to Vinales, a smaller, more rural community to enjoy 2 nights of their neighborly hospitality.. Returning to Havana, we'll continue to explore classic neighborhoods, artist communities, farmers' markets and C urban life. The group is limited to 10 participants and the workshop price is $4800.

Included:
•  Eight nights in beautiful casa particulares (B&B's) in Centro H and V
​•  Various location fees and shooting opportunities
•  Ground transportation in C
•  All breakfasts and dinners

•  Daily workshop instruction during classtime or photo outings

Prerequisites

​Any digital camera is welcome — from DSLR to Mirrorless to iPhone — as long as you have a way to get your images onto an iPhone or iPad for viewing and editing.
 
iPhones and iPads should be models with Airdrop making it easy to share images during classroom critiques and lessons. 
 
Bring lightweight clothing and comfortable walking shoes because you’ll spend lots of time on your feet.
 
Before your departure, you will receive tons of helpful, detailed information to help you prepare for your adventure. From camera gear advice to packing suggestions, you’ll get lots of help to ensure your trip is one of learning and image making instead of problems and hassles.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Hold your spot with a $1200 deposit with the balance due Oct 1. If you need to cancel before Oct 1, $600 will be refunded. Because of advanced planning, if the cancellation is within 60 days or less before the workshop starts, we will not be able to refund any of the workshop fee.

On the unlikely chance that we need to cancel the workshop for any reason, you will be refunded the entire workshop price.

Rooms are based on double occupancy and all have private baths. Single occupancy is available for a one time supplement of $500 for the workshop. Both ground floor and scenic upper floor apartments can be reserved depending on availability. Early registration is encouraged for those who need one of the limited ground floor rooms. ​
