Photo Gilding with Vellum & Precious Metals–Jan 19 & 26

7-9pm Dive headfirst into the magical world of translucent paper and hand-applied gold leaf ONLINE. After you register, you will receive a Gilding Workshop Kit from Dan containing what you'll need for both 2-hour online sessions through Zoom. You will also need to purchase a can of spray varnish (that cannot be shipped from Dan).
Your kit will include inkjet vellum, 24K gold, imitation gold, gilding size, reusable working container, masking strips, artist tape, bristle and foam brushes and stirring sticks.
Complete information will be sent on how to prepare for these hands-on sessions including printing your images on the vellum in your kit. Learn the basics on how to make your archival prints glow! Class is limited to 10 participants. Registration includes 1 Gilding Workshop Kit and two 2-hr. online sessions with Dan as your guide.
Start time for each 2 hour session is 7 pm ET.
Making Prints, Slideshows and Books from iPhone Photos-Feb 8

Create a book for a special occasion, craft a slideshow as online entertainment or bring your image into the real world as an elegant print. Learn how an iPhone/iPad can be your scanner to save family photos or old negatives, too.

Making Digital Negatives with Inkjet Printers

Anyone working in darkroom processes like cyanotype, VanDyke or other alternative processes will enjoy watching and asking questions about this easy way to make beautiful, functional negatives.
